Kickass, the doorstop dog, can now report that the keeper insists that the bad air from the Canadian wildfires is part of the plot to cause him maximum misery with a summer cold.
It has always been the case that the keeper considered his colds worse than anybody else’s and he has been on a lifelong quest to make that point with the rest of the world, invariably failing and getting little more than a casual “poor baby” comment.
Well, it is now apparent that finally the world is paying attention and something is being done to not only recognize the unique seriousness of the keeper’s colds but to provide conditions to make the current one even worse.
Perhaps the keeper should feel honored at such international smoky attention, but he may have reached the late stage in life where it no longer matters to him that his ailments are more noteworthy than anybody else’s.
That being the case he apologizes to everyone for the bad air as he listens for Phyllis to say, “Poor baby!”
