Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports an emotional crisis at Vista West where the keeper and Phyllis live when a day of absolutely perfect weather along with family visiting and a Packer victory over the Bears suddenly created the image that there was really nothing to complain about.

In a senior population where complaining has evolved to an art form, especially pertaining to aches and pains, but also frequently about the weather or the Bears, to suddenly sense that there was really nothing to complain about made the residents feel pretty good and that then denied them their standing reason to complain about their aches and pains!

Oct. 11, 2026 was just a great day that ended with the Brewers beating the Dodgers 2-1 out on the west coast as the Wisconsin sports fans were just starting to snore in bedtime harmony.

Forecasters said tomorrow promised to be an even better day!

What are addicted complainers to do!

The keeper suggested to Phyllis that they take Scarlett O’Hara’s advice and “think about it tomorrow” when their respective aches and pains will reassert themselves.

Then the perfect–no-complaints–day of 10/11/26 all went dark!
