Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper and Phyllis and the multitudes in greeting this sunny Monday, July 13, 2026 with enthusiasm and the irrefutable knowledge that the possibility of being shot and killed by an unidentified POTUS gestapo agent is as real as more ICE raids at the local laundromats.
Along with this day’s scorching temperature, comes the verities that the machinations of the outrageous ego-oriented male libido has the world wrapped in bloody territorial and religious wars, mass starvation and unspeakable suffering.
That the majority of the keeper’s crowd goes calmly about its daily business is as natural as squirrels gathering nuts while the meat-eating predators circle overhead. Inevitably those soaring predators will be replaced by carrion-consuming vultures with their ultimate demonstration of “trickle-down.”
