Kickass, the doorstop dog, will nap today on behalf of the Keeper and Phyllis as they are off to Quarry Ridge Retirement Community to do a book reading program for the keeper’s novel Ah, the Women!

It is the story of how women take over the world to save it from the devastating machinations of the male libido as has been the case since the beginning of human history.

Book readings are ego strokes for writers as they get to stand in front of people and talk about themselves and brag about how critical it is for people to read the book they have just written.

In the case of Ah, the Women! It just happens to be true that reading it will put the reader in the camp of those who recognize that the current cultural chaos is simply the continuation of men acting like libido- driven bulls, and if something isn’t done about it the world will blow up like a big firecracker.

All of Ah, the Women! is set in a rural, river valley community where young narrator Stony grapples with the intimidating adult world, first love and the mischief of his dog Jasper.

If you would like to hear more, today’s Quarry Ridge book talk is open to the public. 1:30 p.m., 2851 Fitchrona Road.

The keeper and Phyllis welcome all genders.

(If you know of a likely book talk location contact the keeper or Phylis to set it up. Thanks.)
