Kickass, the doorstop dog, reminds the keeper that he is a lucky man in that when he forgot it was his and Phyllis’s 7th wedding anniversary until it was too late to really celebrate it, so had Phyllis.
Engrossed in a variety of personal projects, the anniversary day slipped away from them unnoticed until there was a reminder from Phyllis’s daughter Gina.
It being too late for anything like a white tablecloth dinner, the celebratory anniversary meal was a big bowl of Phyllis’s ham and bean soup which as usual was delicious.
The charts show the 7th year of marriage is known as the “copper anniversary” and is appropriately marked with a gift of onyx or yellow Sapphire, and the flower of choice is the Jack-in-the-Pulpit.
Well, there you have it: Lucky Phyllis is literally married to a “jack” in his Kickass pulpit and he will be looking to find her some copper or yellow Sapphire so long as she keeps the ham and bean soup coming.
Happy Anniversary, Babe!
