Kickass, the doorstop dog, listens as the keeper explains his important discovery of just how AI will do the great harm predicted by some observers.
Having arisen from bed too early, the keeper was positioned in front of his computer when he apparently dozed off and his head rested briefly on the special oversized yellow keyboard provided to him by the VA “low vision” people.
In a subsequent visit to the bathroom, the mirror showed the keeper that his forehead had been deeply imprinted with the letters “RTYU FGHJ CVBN” as they appear on a standard keyboard.
It immediately occurred to the keeper that someone showing such an odd display on their forehead could never be taken seriously, and this led to his conclusion that it is all likely part of an AI plot to destroy humans’ ability to communicate effectively.
As he remembered that Phyllis often tells him that he spends too much time with the computer, the keeper looks forward to telling her about the insidious AI plot with the imprinted keyboard letters. That she may not take him seriously simply proves his point.
A similar situation may be reflected in the unbelievable state of POTUS communication. How can anything be taken seriously when “liar” is stamped on his forehead?
