Kickass, the doorstop dog, arises on this NO KINGS day ready to join the keeper and Phyllis and the rest of the world in messaging the narcissistic riffraff in the White House that it is time for them to cancel their illusions of becoming royalty as in kings and queens, and accept their identity as a “Kakistocracy,” which is “a government run by those people least qualified to run it.”
Ever anxious for vocabulary improvement, the keeper found that
the word “Kakistocracy” dates back to the 16th century and has been used off and on down through history to describe disastrous governments. Most recently, in 2017, the word went viral after appearing in a post about the Trump administration. Following that, the use of kakistocracy in relationship to the current US government became so common that “Kakistocracy” was named word of the year in 2024 by The Economist.
Something to think about on this cool Saturday as the Silver Badgers and their friends gather at 2 pm at the corner of Gammon and Tree Lane to pass on the message that the way to eliminate a Kakistocracy is to VOTE!
