Kickass, the doorstop dog, having chewed the covers off several copies of the keeper’s recent novel Ah, the Women! finds the book palatable in that it made the point that if a woman instead of a man is on the other end of your leash you are one lucky dog.
To help make that point, the keeper will team with popular Madison writer Doug Moe tonight at Leopold Books and Café on Regent street at 6 pm for a book promotion interview at which time the keeper will explain how Ed Gein helped get him his first writing job and why one aspect of the Ah, the Women! plot makes urinals illegal and specifies that men must sit down to pee or face charges.
Doug and the keeper are old friends from newspaper days, and may require Phyllis’s discipline to stay on an acceptable course.
The keeper says you are welcome to come to Leopolds tonight to see for yourself if she succeeds.
