Kickass, the doorstop dog, senses the emotional intensity building up with the keeper and Phyllis as the November 3 election looms.
The keeper has no clear recollection of serious political discussion during their brief courtship. But as it turned out there would have been no need by either one of them to worry about hiding a dead body since they both harbor deep seated liberal leanings that demand constant grooming, Phyllis as a founder and member of the Silver Badgers protest group, and the keeper as the daily “Kickass” walker.
Between now and November 3 the two of them will overdose on “Dem” TV commentators and watch to see how the orange fruit cake serves himself up to his slack-jawed, cake-eating followers.
Phyllis may occasionally check an Arizona weather report and the keeper may sip a brandy as they look forward to November 3.
