Kickass and Radio Ban

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper was told yesterday in discussion prior to a radio interview that the word “kickass” could not be said on the air as it was considered profanity and might be offensive to some listeners.

This news caused the keeper to briefly consider changing his blog title to “Kickbutt, the doorstop dog,” but it was only a fleeting thought and would be an insult not only to Kickass himself but also to those who have identified with him over his many years.

As the keeper and Phyllis consider the current use of “bad” language in the public media, they wonder about an “airwaves” ban on “kickass,” and they tell the real Kickass not to take it personally. He will forever be welcomed as Kickass at their place!
