Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the Keeper and Phyllis and the rest of Wisconsin in wondering just what the hell it is that puts utter fools in too many of its Washington legislative posts, and can anything be done about it?
When a national pundit needs to illustrate just how stupid and utterly ridiculous a Washington legislator can be, he or she calls over to the Wisconsin delegation and asks to speak with a congressman or senator. And then it is “show-time” with knee slapping hilarity over self-humiliating, outrageous blabber from a Wisconsin legislator.
Pioneered by the likes of “commie-screaming” Joe McCarthy the Wisconsin legislative dumb ball is now being capably carried by Ron Johnson who sees spooks in ladies aid meetings and potlucks, and once tried to do an illegal handoff to benefit his White House pal.
Most recently, Ron, who used in-laws’ money to buy his Senate seat, told a high-profile interviewer that the two people deliberately killed by ICE in Minnesota had been dangerous traitorous volunteer members of an organized mob of violent troublemakers and they knew the risks they were taking.
In between these two legislating oafs, Wisconsin had a senator who created Earth Day and the Apostle Island National Lakeshore.
The keeper advises thinking about Gaylord Nelson next time Johnson or Tiffany or Grossman or one of their ilk takes the floor to make fools of themselves and the rest of Wisconsin.
