Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper exhausted from the recent sports extravaganzas and seriously thinking of getting up out of his recliner just to see if he can stand up.
Between the Olympians and the Super Bowlers, not to mention the half-timers, the keeper and Phyllis were detoured to a “|Nature” show about how killer whales plan and cooperate to wash seals off ice floes so they can eat them. The show made a point of illustrating the importance of teaching the young killer whales just how to gang up and keep at it until they succeed in making waves that power washes the seal to a location where it becomes their lunch.
The lessons to be learned by the young whales were obvious but not as obvious as those for the seals—choose your ice floe with enough depth and strength so the killer whales can’t get at it and ultimately at you.
