Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper went through Army basic training under a newly activated New Ulm, Minnesota National Guard unit in 1950 at Camp Rucker, Alabama.

Close-order drill on the hot Alabama sand was shouted out by Corporal Dormier, and as the keeper remembers his grating voice, he wonders if any of the corporal’s descendants might be among those packing their gear now for duty in Minneapolis to deal with the ICE goons who shoot women?

The keeper has a gang of family members in the Minneapolis area, lovely smart females of all ages among them, and if so much as one hair on the head of one of them is even slightly disturbed the agonizing restraint bullshit aimed at keeping the peace in ICE presence is out the window for the keeper.

It is, of course, the ranting of a very old PFC who was trained by Corporal Dormier, survived a year of being shot at in Korea and who has now just, goddammit, had it with moneyed narcissistic a-holes and their hired armed and masked ICE bullies.

What will he do?

Maybe he will pack his faded old duffle bag and head up to Minneapolis with Phyllis to visit the family females, after which he could report to the Minnesota National Guard for duty with Corporal Dormier’s great grandkids as they line everybody up to preserve basic decency in the USA.
