Kickass and Hi-Tech

Kickass, the doorstop dog, endorses the keeper’s New Year’s resolution that he will never again complain about the abuse continually bestowed on him, and Phyllis, by the ever-changing tech world.

With the subject of tech torture eliminated from the flow of the keeper’s communicating, expect more observations about the weather which is not nearly so capricious or aggravating as the tech universe and can be avoided by staying in the house.

It should not surprise anyone to learn that currently the keeper’s car lighting system has cramped up with instrument panel and headlights in a mysterious struggle for dominance, his phone is jammed up with inaccessible messages and the TV suddenly launched itself into outer space and gave the remote the electrical capacity of a banana.

Usually, Phyllis can figure out how to solve tech problems but it is taking more and more of her time and there seems to be no end in sight. She is obviously weary of pulling the keeper out of the tech ditches, and the Kickass crowd is likely weary of hearing about it.

So, the New Year’s resolution—no more whining about being left in the dust of a tech stampede that makes the keeper feel as if he is in the back seat of Thelma and Louise’s car as it heads over the cliff.

From now on it will be all about the weather on the Kickass low-tech front:

HAPPY NEW YEAR on the last day of a damn stormy year!
