Kickass and a Dog’s Life

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper and Phyllis driving a hundred miles with two young passengers to be part of a Phyllis family Christmas gathering at which a gifting game was played, great food was served by Alexis and Jerad and introductions were made to their chickens, ducks, goats and an assembly of dogs.

Within this mix of human characters and contented critters time was spent in assessing respective living-together roles with the obvious conclusion being that as evolution has laid things out the big winners are the dogs.

Ducks and geese and even goats have not done a lot of progressive descending. Humans, except for the spurt of inventing the wheel, actually often experience degenerative inheriting, like currently.

But the dogs!

Dogs descended from wild scavenger wolves to dominate modern life from the couch to the problem of their waste disposal to holiday gatherings where they display an assumed acceptance that is stronger than the belief in Santa.

The day was great fun for all concerned and the keeper told Phyllis on the drive home that his reincarnation plans called for him to come to some of the future holiday gatherings as a dog.
