Kickass, the doorstop dog, noting the keeper and Phyllis’s confusion with some of the seasonal stories now circulating, some using a “manger” setting, suggest that “dog in the manger” is a more appropriate theme this year than baby Jesus “asleep in the hay.”
Defined as someone who prevents another from using or enjoying something they themselves can’t use, “dog in the manger” needs to be tattooed on several official foreheads and engraved on what is left of the White House portico.
“Away in a manger, no place for honesty or basic decency.”
