*The buzz of the neighbors premature snowblower.
*Command signals from the coffeemaker.
*The furnace kicking in.
*TV weather forecasters mixing professional satisfaction and feigned sympathy.
*The drone of an airplane passing through the overhead whiteout.
*The phone buzzing with family members altered travel plans.
*The initial popping of the popcorn maker.
*The creaking of recliner cushions.
*Somebody snoring.
