Kickass and Revolutionary War

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper and Phyllis saturated with war–the current absurd cruelties at a number of global locations and the amazing Ken Burns “The American Revolution” shown last week in a five-part series on PBS.

Now as the US endures the brainless machinations of those who would take it apart, just how the eight years of the revolution put it together is absolutely unbelievable.

With Native American wars within wars, slave participation, foreign involvement, volunteers deserting and then returning to the brutal hand-to-hand killing in the next battle, starving at brutal winter encampments, and answering Washington’s repeated calls to march into the face of withering musket fire and fixed bayonets wielded by those who lived in the next town.

It is nothing short of miraculous that somehow out of this lengthy incredible human entanglement there was created a nation unique to the ways of the world as it relates to human dignity and fairness. The Revolutionary War was a global miracle and embraced the only real hope of the human species crawling out of the biological dictates of its own misery and final destruction.

Those who would now dismantle its basic foundation are as thoughtless as rats chewing at the mooring lines as a typhoon approaches.

Disbelief, disappointment, anger and determination to stop the political vandalism are among the emotions generated.

Repairs are obviously in order to even things up for the US citizenry. Resistance, however ill defined, works as it did in the brutal Civil War that killed so many, and that war has still not ended for those who would now revive it in the name of killing those who resist their offensive arm waving and narcissistic demands to restore White supremacy and a plantation lifestyle culture.

Resist! Resist! Resist!
