Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper being suddenly put in charge of the weather by Phyllis and her fellow Silver Badgers as they join the multitudes of “No Kings” protestors this afternoon along Gammon Road at Tree Lane.
Defying the old adage that everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it, the keeper has plans to hold off any rain until long after the 3-4 p.m. timing of the “No Kings” rallies.
He will be doing this by invoking a version of the irrefutable law of nature that when you are outside and really need a bathroom there won’t be one to be found. It is called “meteorological incontinence” and is not an uncommon circumstance in the keeper’s age group.
That gray cloud cover fending off the afternoon rain is….oh never mind, the keeper’s weather-control analogy has gone as far as it is going to go short of turning rain clouds into “Depends.”
“GO, SILVER BADGERS!”
