Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper will have the “Damn Mad Badger” on a short leash Saturday as Phyllis and hundreds of her fellow Silver Badgers line Gammon Road near Tree Lane on Madison’s westside as part of the national “No Kings” demonstration. 3-4 p.m. Lots of parking and handy access.
In what promises to be the largest-ever citizen expression of outrage at the POTUS efforts to strip Democracy of its unique inherent decency, the Silver Badgers and millions of others are having none of it.
Beyond preserving the basics of what it means to be a caring human, the “No Kings” demonstrators’ efforts now take in the real threats of dying of RFK Jr. ignorance, knowing “food insecurity”, going to war with Canada and being slammed to the sidewalk by a masked hired ICE thug.
As always, the leash restraining the Damn Mad Badger will be tested to the max as he tries to make friends with as many Silver Badgers as possible, using non-traditional canine methods of course. Behind his Damn Mad Badger snarling there is a Badger smile, unless he happens to be thinking about the POTUS or the Badger football season.
