Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper and Phyllis frequently awed by the actions and accomplishments of grandchildren, and never more so than it is with Phyllis’s Alexis and her menagerie of backyard animals up in Mosinee; and with the keeper’s Sarah who carries the family schnauzer Boo around on a pillow as Boo lives out her last days.
Alexis with her pampered ducks and goats and Sarah with her pillowed old Boo tell the keeper and Phyllis that despite a really screwed up world, they have some very special grandkids who represent the best hope for a quality life for everyone.
Could a grandparent ever feel otherwise!
