Kickass, the doorstop dog, joined the keeper and Phyllis in listening to Jimmy’s return monologue not long after hearing the POTUS address the United Nations.
As a result, they will be taking turns alternately laughing and crying for most of the rest of the day and on into the next three and one-half years.
Phyllis will be assigning laughter periods given her younger age and status with the Silver Badgers. The keeper, with his very senior circumstance, will lead the crying based on survival odds giving him the biggest “deadline” of his writing career.
Kickass himself will be marking that territory between dangerous narcissistic absurdity and trying to find some way to laugh in the face of it all.
