Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper and Phyllis having weathered out of a drive to the middle of the state Saturday found themselves with a daylong opportunity to stay off the stormy roads and do something worthwhile.
Phyllis did some organizational work with members of the “Silver Badgers,” the senior protest group, and she helped the keeper order a yard sign of a snarling badger which will go out on the balcony deck with the howling coyote.
The keeper unloaded the dishwasher and Phyllis did a load of laundry and both of them built on their recliner hours to the point they qualified for senior recliner status giving them the expertise necessary to nap while reclining without dropping either a book or the remote control.
Such is life in the fast lane on a stormy Saturday!
