Kickass, the doorstop dog, gives the floor to the keeper and Phyllis to pass on the verity that sandwiches climb into a rarefied culinary class when they are delivered and prepared by a son and granddaughter—Mike and Sarah who also brought along Boo the aging little schnauzer who has spent parts of her gypsy life in residence with the keeper, Mike and Sarah. While she lived with the keeper Boo learned how to play a small piano. Now in her old age and living with Sarah, Boo paces slowly about as if she is not sure where she is headed which identifies her with the keeper as much as her piano playing ever did.
