Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper marveling some mornings on how it all fits together with everyone getting to their places and doing whatever it is that needs doing and then retreating at the end of the day to their personal haunts where family and friends welcome their return with demands and love.
And it goes on day after day, despite chaos in “high” places and occasional “fender-bender” hitches of natural or stupid origin.
The keeper is moved to sing that old first grade song for Phyllis: “Good morning to you. Good morning to you. We’re all in our places with sunshiny faces. Good morning to you. Good morning to You!”
