Kickass, the doorstop dog, congratulates Phyllis, the committee, and the several hundred people who showed up Thursday afternoon at Gammon Road and Tree Lane to send a “good trouble” message that “they are not willing to abide a leader who treats them as inconvenient garbage”.
Passing that “good trouble” message along with signs and shouts and a clanging cowbell were cheerful people in wheelchairs, electric scooters, walkers, using canes and many moving at the slow deliberate pace of those who have been down the road and refuse to travel it further without its center line of basic decency.
Those in positions of elected leadership who do not heed the “good trouble” message as it was sent from Gammon and Tree and from across the country Thursday need the mad-dog treatment of being bitten on the ass. Kickass will be practicing under Phyllis’s supervision!
