Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper may be overloaded with concerns about both natural and political disasters to the point that he needed some reassurance that while all may not be well, some important things are happening, such as the sunrise of July 10, 2025.
It happened at 5:29 a.m. in Madison, WI. and it was a gorgeous thing to observe—a great red ball rolling up over the distant tree line off to the left of the Capital, seemingly anxious to chase darkness with its ultimate authority and spread the truest light on everything.
The keeper might have woke Phyllis up to share his sunrise joy but decided instead to photograph it and tell her about it later.
