Kickass and Phyllis’ Fall

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper in awe of Phyllis’s recent demonstration of how to trip over an item of exercise equipment while carrying a bowl of dessert, falling on her face in the kitchen and bruising a knee and an elbow and needing only minimum help to get upright and then to retrieve her dessert bowl which had somehow landed upright and unscathed over by the oven door.

As a natural leader, the keeper hopes Phyllis uses her experience to teach her older Vista West neighbors how to fall without losing their dessert.

It is an unfortunate verity that, while falling is not a sanctioned sport in the keeper and Phyllis’s age group, it seems to be all too popular as a hobby.

The keeper wears a “fall” signal necklace and he may offer it to Phyllis. Then again he might just take her dessert away from her to protect it from the risk of her falling.
