Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper and Phyllis trying to adjust to the latest “day that will live in infamy” as the outsized libidos of yet another collection of hopelessly narcissistic men have them acting like randy bulls to gain more herd dominance.
In both the 1941 and the 2025 versions of “the day of infamy” power hungry men gave the word for pilots in the very latest aircraft to do sneak bombings of unsuspecting populated areas.
In 1941 this “infamy” triggered years of bloody warfare that killed millions and stopped only after the US dropped a couple of powerful bombs on Japanese civilians with such horrible results that further use of them was unthinkable and threatened global survival.
So, the keeper asks if are we there again? Will a war that results from the 2025 “day of infamy” end only in the abject horror of millions of civilians vaporized and burned to death as happened in 1945?
And on which continent will the replacement Nagasaki and Hiroshima be located?
Something to think about on a bright summer morning.
Or maybe not!
