Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper welcoming the new year by announcing that from where he most often does his best planning he can hear the clothes dryer out in its hall closet and as it heads into the spin cycle it sounds very much like an airliner picking up runway speed just prior to take off.
On this first day of 2025, the keeper climbed on board the dryer/air liner with Phyllis as it took off for an undisclosed destination. They both hope it will be a nice warm place–not too warm, but if it just ends up flying straight through to 2026 without turbulence that would be fine with them. They will be wearing clean clothes and ready for whatever comes.
