Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper and Phyllis, wanting to keep their coughing colds something private and precious, cancelled out on Andy and Ohm’s New Year’s eve party and therefore missed an opportunity to revisit their former Mazomanie home on the hill and to share the entry of 2024 with loved ones.
Five years ago, Phyllis danced with Boo the schnauzer in the Mazo living room to the “music” of the keeper’s button accordion while the keeper gazed out at the wonderful view of Mazo environs and waited for the snowfall to end before tackling the adventurous driveway with his tractor plow.
Those were the days, my friend……
Now the keeper and Phyllis live in a Madison independent living facility, Boo is in California with Sarah and Jessy, and the treacherous Mazo driveway is a joyous sledding adventure for Andy and Ohm’s three little ones.
The keeper is happy, Phyllis is happy, Boo is happy as are her roommates and so is everyone who showed up last night on the Mazo hilltop to welcome in 2024.
Things do change, but if they stay “happy” that’s pretty much the ballgame?
