Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper and Phyllis happily report that what they thought was a serious exposure to politics turned out to be only stomach flu.

The confusion arose over the word “gag” that has become the operable word in the political world and also described the keeper and Phyllis’s condition.

Just to be sure, the keeper looked it up and found several definitions of “gag,” the most applicable one being: “To experience sudden uncomfortable feeling or tightness in the throat and stomach making you feel like you are about to vomit.”

Such a feeling has been a long-standing one for the keeper and Phyllis as they have tried to stay informed about the current political circus. Gagging was as common as raised eyebrows as abject idiots took center stage and exposed themselves in national and state political settings.

Then one day the gagging progressed to its natural conclusion and first Phyllis and then the keeper actually experienced significant vomiting.

“Woe is us, we’ve got political gagging!” the keeper lamented.

“No,” Phyllis said. “It is just the flu!”

“Thank god,” said the keeper, mid-gag and hastening toward the bathroom!”
