Kickass and Game of Fetch

Kickass, the doorstop dog, has engaged the keeper’s help in totally shutting down the game of “fetch” as played by dogs and people.

As symbolic of activity so stupid as to compete with voters going to the polls in “big-money-bought elections, “fetch’s” success depends on a number of conflicting assumptions:

*The human player apparently does not want the tennis ball/stick and is throwing it away.

*The dog cannot accept this truth and “fetches” the object back to the human who praises this contrary canine behavior and throws the “fetch” object again and again and again.

*Should stopping the game of “fetch” be compared to shutting down the US government as currently promoted by the Repubs, let the record show that the “sit-and-stay” Repubs have convinced half the human “fetch” players that the tennis ball/stick has been thrown off the edge of the flat earth by the Dems and the game is over for that reason.

To replace “fetch” the keeper suggests dogs and humans team up to play “kick the can,” with the can being the wholesale prevailing political stupidity.
