Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper suggested to an assembly of Vista West residents that one measure of dealing with the extreme heat would be to dispense with clothing as a building-wide policy.
After an initial burst of enthusiasm, and a casual look at those around them, the general consensus seemed to be that if Vista West residents are to dispense with clothing in an effort to beat the heat they should also be required to wear masks or maybe blindfolds.
The keeper’s personal heat-beating technique is to restrict movement to the point that Phyllis mistakes him for a piece of furniture–the recliner?– and dusts him off, or maybe covers him with a lap robe.
She will likely be wearing a mask.
