Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper in singing the praises of Phyllis who has become the in-house publisher of “KICKASS the DOORSTOP DOG (almost daily 2022).”
In compiling a year’s worth of Kickass, Phyllis demonstrates many things, not the least of which is her willingness to tolerate the keeper’s inclination to collect mental and physical junk, despite her own discipline of neatness and organization.
The keeper began writing Kickass almost ten years ago, for no good reason other than to pretend he was still in the column writing business. It has been fun over the years to exchange thoughts with many Kickass readers, but the most significant thing to happen was that Phyllis, then living in Arizona, happened to see Kickass on Facebook about five years ago and posted a positive comment. The rest is history of the sort that redefined the keeper’s life and made the point that there is no age limit on falling in love like a high school sophomore.
When the object of that love becomes your in-house publisher, well, life just doesn’t get any better than that.
