Kickass and Visiting Dogs

Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper and Phyllis in encouraging younger family members to use this blah time of the year to visit their elders, and to bring the dog along.

Mike, Sarah and Jessie brought Boo–the command schnauzer, with them yesterday, and a very good time was had by all.

Boo, who once lived with the keeper and Phyllis, appears to have adjusted comfortably to life in Chicago, but unfortunately has given up playing the piano, something she was noted for during her Mazomanie residency.

Phyllis’s son Todd always brings Ava, the sleeping beagle, along when he visits, and while Ava’s only talent seems to be snoring, she too is good company.

Then there is Phyllis granddaughter Alexis who visits with the spirited herd-dog Kai, an example of canine perpetual motion.

Visits from family are the highlights of existence among the keeper’s age group, even without dogs.

Thank you Mike, Sarah, Jessie…..and Boo.
