Kickass and Dog Election Poem

Kickass, the doorstop dog, helped the keeper with the following:

If dogs held elections, this would be true:

A dishonest dog would get its due.

Dogs know truth better than most,

Though they’ve been known to bark at a ghost.

Dogs can be had for a treat or a bone,

They’ll do tricks ‘til the cows come home.

But here’s one thing that dogs won’t do,

Vote for blather and words not true.

Dogs are gentle and have lots of class,

But when crossed, can easily bite an ass.

Dogs say to “VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!”

Don’t be a sheep, don’t be a goat!

If dogs held elections, it would be this way:

Dishonest dog’s out, good dogs “stay!”
