Kickass and Fired Coach

Kickass, the doorstop dog, is assisting the keeper in running down the rumor that, in keeping with the current trend of denying reality, particularly if it involves rejection by official means, Paul Chryst is refusing to accept his firing as UW football coach and will be on the sidelines at next Saturday’s game, no matter what!

None of this is true, of course, partly because Chryst has enough class to know how it is in his profession, even with a 67-26 win/loss record: and partly because he negotiated a settlement from the position of the UW owing him $19 million.

It all comes down to money, and it poses the question as to how much it would cost to get rid of Wisconsin’s narcissistic, gerrymandered, minority-representative state government; and Fred Prehn, the arrogant Wausau tooth-jerker who acts the part of a blood-sucking woodtick and refuses to accept the expiration of his term on the DNR board, thus keeping in place backwoods conservation policies designed largely by knuckle-dragging out-of-state bear hunters.

So the cost might be high, maybe even as high as $19 million, but worth every penny.

The keeper extends congratulations to Chryst for the biggest win of his life, and hopes to see him around town.
