Kickass and Two-Year-Old Party

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper frequently finds himself out of his league, and that was never more so than at great grandson Ziggy Russell’s two-year birthday party, when a bunch of cousins and little friends gathered to eat sweetcorn and “dirt” cake with Ziggy, and to occasionally view the keeper in the manner of glancing at the mastodon in a museum diorama.

If the keeper needed any reminder that he is riding in the caboose of the big train, it was in seeing eager little faces smeared with buttered corn and cake and not letting any of that curb their enthusiasm for more.

There was only one thing to do—join the feasting young partyers, which the keeper did.

Age is just a number, even when it is a damn big one.

Pass the buttered corn and dirt cake and never mind the napkins!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Ziggy!
