Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that at the time his daily Kickass meandering is usually written, today the keeper will instead be on his way to the VA eye clinic for injections to treat the eye problems that dear old mom handed off to him along with his fragile Norwegian skin and skinny legs.

Since the treatment renders him an unsafe driver, the keeper will be a passenger in Rod’s white Subaru by arrangement with RSVP—Retired and Senior Volunteer Program that is yet another in the multitude of organizations formed and staffed by people like Rod who see a need to help somebody and step up to do it.

Such groups make for a natural tribal lifestyle of caring and compassion that transcends the political potholes created by narcissistic fools.
