Kickass and TV Watching

Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes that the keeper and Phyllis have agreed to cut down on the amount of time they spend watching TV programs that detail the extent of the utter stupidity rampant in government and business circles.

The move is compatible with the keeper’s decision some years ago to stop watching football and other sports, with the result that he found other ways to waste time that didn’t include mood changes over final scores of games played by millionaire strangers.

Perhaps there will be a similar result with limiting exposure to the flow of stupidity in TV political reporting.  Maybe the keeper can develop the illusion that he is represented by people who give a rat’s ass about him and Phyllis.

Tis, after all, the season of embracing things like virgin births and flying reindeer.

In the meantime the keeper will be reading about what goes on inside a cocoon and reviewing just how his little pile of cells fits into the universe.
