Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper and Phyllis at Bailey’s Winery in the beautiful New Glarus hills sharing the music, the scenery, the wine and food and a table with Jeff and Dena from Idaho who are in the state for Dena’s traveling medical work.
It was a pleasant interlude of exchanging get-acquainted personal info with the usual home geography-family subjects and it got around to Jeff’s large lettered “TRUMP” t-shirt and his similarly labeled hat.
“I get an occasional thumbs-up,” Jeff said, “But nobody has ever really confronted me.”
There then ensured a “confrontation” of sorts in which political preferences and thoughts were expressed by all present in reasoned voices, after which the keeper and Phyllis had another glass of wine and wished their new Idaho friends well.
