Kickass and Thelma and Louise

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper’s dream revision of the closing scene in Thelma and Louise as being appropriate for this day when an out-of-control ICE posse moves close enough to stink up the action.

As the keeper dreams it, with everyone panicked in the backseat as the edge of the cliff looms closer and closer, suddenly Phyllis is at the wheel with her demonstrating friends and they make a U-turn and head back toward the posse with middle-finger salutes and obscene but physically impossible instructions for individual posse members.

The dream then concludes with posse members wetting their pants as they cannot emotionally handle the truth that compassion and decency are not unwanted immigrants but are natural parts of most American citizens.

As the end music comes up and the closing scene fades to “credits,” it lists Phyllis and her friends and millions of people like them across the country out there today with signs and signals as “producers.”

Kickass dreams of joining them!”
