Kickass, the doorstop dog, naps through most of the keeper’s poetry excesses but not this one:
WHEN ICE APPEARS
“How do you act when ICE appears
“Do you shake with dread and untold fears?
“When did we cross that commenting line
“That made joking about ICE no longer fine?
“How did a man with the morals of a bull
“Empty our decency bucket that once was full?
“What happened to truth as the way to go?
“It was replaced by lies and a comedy show.
“Is the only way out another Civil War call
“As ICE and the bull make slaves of us all?
“FIGHT! FIGHT! the rise of narcissism and the dumb,
“We’re all better than that and then some!
