Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper rising on this sunny May 16 determined to do good–to accomplish something to make the world a better place than it was yesterday.
All the time he was showering and dressing and pouring his first coffee, the keeper thought and thought about how he might contribute to the betterment of humanity. He thought about his friends who do meaningful volunteer work, and he remembered once helping a lady across a street she had not wanted to cross.
Well into his second coffee, the keeper consulted with Phyllis about how he might do something good on this Friday. She said maybe he could check the rabbit fence around her raised garden out on the Vista West patio area.
It isn’t going to make the six o’clock news but looking at Phyllis’s garden serves as a “do something good” check off for the keeper even if he does nothing more than compliment the condition of the tomato plants. He suggests others follow his “do good” example on this bright, sunny May 16, 2025.
