Having been permanently identified by the current POTUS as “enemy of the people”, the White House Press Corps did away with the traditional appearance of a comedian at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, previously saying it was an effort to avoid divisiveness and to better focus on award honorees.
Since the narcissistic Little King POTUS has not attended the dinner since he was laughed at by something Obama said at a dinner many years ago, it would seem to follow that cancelling the comedian this year was a logistics move: laughter at the dinner drives away attendees and they could end up badmouthing the membership.
Or was it the confusion that might occur in distinguishing a comedian from the current POTUS? As a former junior grade “enemy of the people”, the keeper asks this at the risk of being laughed at.
