Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper acknowledging this Earth Day with a salute to Phyllis who lives in harmony, helpfulness and respect for the besieged Earth far in excess of the keeper’s slovenly ways.
Once on an early Earth Day, the keeper canoed down the Namakagon River with others including Gaylord Nelson who partnered in a canoe with a member of a local Native American tribe.
It was a memorable day with a strong wind blowing up the river to bedevil canoeists.
Now, many years later, the keeper has lucked out with an Earth Day partner who recognizes how to paddle against the strong winds of time in the best interests of the Earth.
Happy Earth Day, Babe!
