Kickass, the doorstop dog, cheers on the keeper and Phyllis as they celebrate their 6th wedding anniversary with a Vietnamese dinner at Pho Nam where Phyllis drank from a coconut and the keeper demonstrated anew that he will never master eating noodles using chopsticks.
In their Vista West crowd, a 6th wedding anniversary–officially listed as “candy,” is not worthy of mention as next door neighbors Jim and Joyce recently celebrated in the “diamond” anniversary category. And there are many others marking long term relationships in reality or fond memory.
But a “candy” anniversary is worthy of notice, given the ages involved, particularly the keeper’s who will be 160 years old when he and Phyllis celebrate their diamond anniversary.
Bring on the coconut drinks and one more try at the chopsticks!
