Kickass, the doorstop dog, celebrates with the keeper and Phyllis their good fortune in having as a Vista West neighbor Donna who is a member of the local chapter of the “Raging Grannies,” an activist singing group with chapters in both Canada and the US.
The Raging Grannies put new protest lyrics to old familiar songs and then they belt them out in pleasant harmony that invites all ages to sing along.
The Madison Raging Grannies stress the importance of youth involvement in environmental and political matters, and their entertaining programs are for all ages.
If you have a chance to hear them, grab it; and if, like the keeper, you are a raging grandpa and would like to join the Raging Grannies, keep in mind it would involve a sex change and wearing a funny hat. The keeper has the hat but he needs to think about the rest of it!
