Kickass, the doorstop dog, joins the keeper in wishing Phyllis a very happy birthday and will be doing everything possible to correct the transposition of numbers that assigns Phyllis an inappropriate ridiculous age.
Phyllis IS 58!
Do not forget that and know that in her 58th year which happened the first time in 1998, she and a couple of girl friends biked across Wisconsin from Ashland to Madison—560 miles, to celebrate “Pioneer Ride Wisconsin.”
Phyllis was working at Planned Parenthood at the time and was a “Master Gardener” planting wildflowers to decorate her community of Marshfield. She was also beginning her quest that ultimately saw her hike in every national park in the US, she drove solo to visit her daughter Gina who was Mrs. Ohio of 1995, and she backpack camped with girlfriends on Isle Royale. Then, of course there were days tending granddaughters Alexis and Tyler, wine making in her basement and community square-dancing and foreign travel trips.
So, now as she is 58 again, Phyllis says that while she would like to repeat it all, riding the recliner trail with the keeper is not all that bad, which makes him feel really good!
